Saturday night they held the annual General Relief Society broadcast, our ward had tickets to attend at the conference center but I didn't take one because I still don't know many people and really didn't want to go alone. I was a little bummed because attending conferences at the conference center was high on my "things I get to do in Utah" list.
Lucky for me a few of Rob's aunts and cousins had tickets and ended up with a spare so I was able to tag along with them. Our seats were down towards the front, I have always sat in the balcony so this was really exciting to be so close to the front.
(a little fuzzy but I was thrilled be close enough to see the Prophet as he was leaving)
The meeting was amazing, my favorite was President Uchtdorf's talk. I love the 5 forget me not's, and thankfully someone talented already made a cute printable for me to hang up (found here).
After the broadcast we had dinner at The Garden where I snapped this picture of the temple. I have already planned my trip back with the sidekicks and Rob in tow to see the Christmas lights. I can see it becoming a tradition!!
It was a beautiful night and I am so thankful I had the chance to go. I don't think I will be able to ever stop being thankful we are back in Utah!!!
