There is something to be said about January 2nd, ecspecially when it falls on a Monday. Rob had they day off, the sidekicks were out of school for one more day, and all of our company had returned to their homes. I am always sad to see the holiday season come to an end, but putting my house back together and giving it a good scrub always cheers me up.
It was also the first time I didn't complain about the lack of snow this winter break, instead we all enjoyed being outside playing and getting things done. Hunter even came in and asked for sunscreen to cool down his back because he was "so hot". The kids built a house out of an old stove box, I cleaned out my car, and Rob and I organized the garage. I know it is only a matter of time before the snow starts falling so crossing these off our list was a great feeling.
