Today the girls had the opportunity to be in a children's choir for Stake Conference, Samantha participated in one when we lived in Springville, but this was Hannah's first time and she was excited. I am pretty sure she asked 50 times when their first practice was and when exactly they were singing.
I was a little worried about her sitting on the stand for the entire 2 hour meeting, but she sat so reverently the entire time, they both did, and had a huge smile on her face.
The music was beautiful, and really brought a special spirit to the meeting. They sang "He Sent his Son" and "The Family Is of God". I wish I would have recorded them during one of the practices, both songs and the way the arranged them were beautiful.
The chorus in "The Family Is of God" is my favorite, and I always seem to end up with tears threatening to spill over as the kids sing it at the top of their lungs:
God gave us families to help us become what he wants us to be.
This is how he shares his love, for the family is of God.
I am so grateful every day for this little family of mine!! Words can not express how much I love them, and how grateful I am for the person I have become, and I am still becoming, because I have the privilege of being their Mom.
