It feels like Summer is officially over now that we have celebrated Labor Day. All of our Summer things are packed away in the garage and Hannah and I pulled out our fall decorations today. We love fall around here and are welcoming it with open arms, but it is still a little sad to see summer come to an end when it feels like it just got here.
Saturday (well Thursday but the games that matter were on Saturday) was the return of college football. We only have an antenna so Rob and I spent Friday night and most of Saturday lying on our bed cheering on our teams thanks to instant streaming online. The TCU game was exciting, the USU Aggie game was heartbreaking, and the BYU game was maddening (lets play a bit better this week OK boys, thanks much).
Saturday night we spent the night with friends cheering on the Oregon Ducks and watching the Boise State game on Rob's phone. The Oregon game was a bit dull, but hanging with our friends never is.
Sunday we went to my nephew's blessing, I can't say enough how thankful I am to be close enough we can be there for these things. It is always a good time when we get to be with family, my nephews are a blast, and I always love a little baby cuddling. Not to mention the blessing was amazing, my Brother in Law Matt did a wonderful job.
The Bartlett Clan. (Don't mind the crying baby)
Monday we cleaned the house, exciting right?!?! The weeks are so crazy it had to be done, but we did manage to finish in enough time to check out Mona Reservoir. There were not many people there for it being Labor day so I think we may have found a great boating spot for next summer. Rob and the kids played in the water and I was able to relax and snap a few pictures from my spot.
It was such a great weekend and we are looking forward to another one just like it. The summer may have come to an end but our weekends are continuing to fill up, but really we wouldn't want it any other way.
